About

I’m an engineering student turned management consultant who still enjoys tinkering with stuff in my spare time. This is a blog about 3D printing, electronics and any random geekery I get up to.

  1. Hi John,

Found this page from the Singapore Mini Maker Faire site. I’m Samuel from Saturday Kids, a startup that runs programming, 3d printing and electronics classes for kids and teens. We’re bringing some of our students to SMMF this weekend, and were wondering if we could pop by your booth and you could share with them about your maker experiences! We’d love for them to be inspired to do awesome projects too.

    Do let me know, thanks!

    1. Hi Samuel

Thanks for reaching out! You are very welcome to come by the booth and I would be happy to talk to your group. Roughly how many and what’s the age range? Any topics they are particularly interested in?

      See you on Saturday

      John

  2. Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply! The students we’re bringing over are 17-18 (Junior College years). We’ve been teaching them about interactive design using Processing and Kinect, and it would be great if you could just talk about how you got started creating (what were your first creations!), your process, and your experiences. We’d just like the students to be inspired!

I love that you post the problems you face while creating on this blog – it really shows that creating something is about iteration and improvement, and isn’t a magical process that works every time.

If you want to chat more, feel free to email me at samuel@saturdaykids.sg

    Thanks a lot!

  3. Hi jweo, we are currently creating an event for our FYP project whereby makers will showcase some of the products to our target audience (mainly Polytechnic students).
We would like to invite you to support us by joining this event and showcase your innovations!

Do drop me an email at yaaangz@hotmail.com if you’re keen to help. Thanks a lot! 🙂
